Something to be proud of...

Lately, there haven't been a lot of things to be proud of in the worldwide Asian community, especially in China. I'm really disappointed in the melamine incident. Even the Olympics was a disappointment because of the government forcing people from their homes to build a new stadium...high rise buildings for the rich...to show off to the world that they can build high rises too? (It's been done.)

However, I did read something today that made me proud of the "old" days in China.

--In the 1930s, Shanghai was the only place in the world to offer visa-free sanctuary to Jews fleeing Nazism — 20,000 ended up in Shanghai.

We need to learn from history.

Eco-Arsonist??? Oxymoron or just a Omoron?

Marie Mason, a 47-yr old environmental activist, was sentenced to nearly 22 years in prison on Thursday for a 1999 arson attack at Michigan State University's Agriculture Hall that caused more than $1 million in damage. She was acting on behalf of the Earth Liberation Front, a radical environmental group. She sets fire to stuff, lots of stuff... We are not talking about burning trash here. Combustion produced CO2... I'm pretty sure CO2 is a greenhouse gas... Did she not just harm the environment by releasing CO2??

Things like this really pisses me off... It's like people don't think! It's like the frenetic PETA person that started killing hunters... Are humans not animals?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
